Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

•    Complete the review of any changes to various company contracts and provide business feedback to decision maker 
•    Prepare contract briefs and revisions summarizing contractual requirements and budgets
•    Implement contract standardization and digitization project
•    Maintain detailed and organized files for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, payment schedules
•    Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy
•    Explain terms and conditions to managers and interested parties
•    Liaison with outside counsel on all appropriate items
•    Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met
•    NDA;s (need to elaborate)
•    This position is responsible for company Secretary duties, including keeping meeting minutes
•    Maintain the administration of corporate records and tracking officers for the companies
•    Act as Registered Agent for Subpoenas, Lawsuits, garnishments
•    Complete the first level of Know your customer information requests (non-financial)
•    Tradespan renewals
•    Performs other duties as assigned.
 

Job Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities: 

•    Proficient in MS Office Suite and with the ability to draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports from rough draft, dictation, or         transcription at a level of at least 30 wpm.
•    Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors and changes
•    Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
•    Professional demeanor and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
•    Committed to providing responsive client service.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to analyze tasks and outsource to legal counsel when appropriate
•    Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
•    Professional demeanor Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners
 

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in legal studies or related field preferred.
•    Paralegal certification.
•    3+ years legal and or compliance responsibility in financial services.
