Job Title: Test Mechanic (M11A)
Duties: Advancement to any given level is subject to need as determined by management and employee meeting established qualification criteria.
Level A
1. Performs the functions listed under Duties section above.
2. Performs power on testing of the following: wiring, control modules, flight control systems, doors, lighting, cabin pressure, ground blocks, hydraulics, landing gear operation, external electrical power, auto flight tests, air flight data, crew oxygen, flight recording systems, battery compartment, all pilot controls, freedom of motion checks in aircraft sections, etc.
3. Trouble shoots test results of the following: wiring, control modules, flight control systems, doors, lighting, cabin pressure, ground blocks, hydraulics, landing gear operation, external electrical power, auto flight tests, air flight data, crew oxygen, flight recording systems, battery compartment, all pilot controls, etc.
4. Performs functional testing including the following: high interference radio frequency, integrated cooling systems, potable water, fire suppressant system, oxygen systems, hydraulic systems, accumulator gauge, moisture control system, cargo heat, cabin pressure control, insertion loss, integrated surveillance system, pitot static system, etc.
5. Trouble shoots test results of the following: high interference radio frequency, integrated cooling systems, potable water, fire suppressant system, oxygen systems, hydraulic systems, accumulator gauge, moisture control system, cargo heat, cabin pressure control, insertion loss, integrated surveillance system, pitot static system, etc.
6. Load any and all applicable software for the unit's full power on operational requirements.
7. Proficient with all equipment and tools associated with the installation through the final functional test of required Software/Hardware to support the Mission and Intent of the delivered end item.
8. Able to capture, translate, validate or provide measurement data with precision laser measurement equipment such as laser tracker etc. to meet engineering intent and top-level requirements.
9. Perform complete inspection, including first part review, of procured or fabricated parts and assemblies.
10. Use shop mathematics and precision measuring and or test instruments to complete work assignments and functional test assemblies and components.
Skills: Need workers familiar with power on, integrated avionics along with complex troubleshooting.
10+ years of experience.
