Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $40-$60/Hour

Responsibilities:
As a mechanical analysis engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and analysis of critical undersea hardware
- Lead mechanical design and analysis efforts for critical undersea hardware used in defense applications.
Develop and refine mechanical models and drawings using CAD tools, primarily Creo.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing methods, technical standards, and industry regulations to support engineering design.
Collaborate with engineering teams on complex projects requiring innovative mechanical solutions.
Contribute to documentation efforts, including technical reports, analysis papers, and design proposals.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship required by Federal law
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience)
Proficiency in CAD modeling and drawing creation using Creo
Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication methods, technical standards, and government/industry requirements
Familiarity with material specifications and metallurgy, especially for submarine and undersea applications
Knowledge of weld types (MIL-STD-22) and welding processes (TP-1688, 278)
Experience using ANSYS and MATLAB for engineering analysis, including the ability to train others
Background in Shock Grade B analysis is preferred
