Role Summary
* In this role, you will lead mission systems hardware engineering activities, supporting the development, qualification, and production of advanced avionics systems. You will oversee supplier performance, ensure compliance with system requirements, and guide integration across laboratory and flight test environments. You will also mentor team members and promote innovation, technical excellence, and first-time quality within the organization. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
* Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience in systems engineering involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, and verification.
* Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience with avionics hardware and software development, design, production, and project management.
* Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience in process development and qualification, physical and functional integration, and resolving supplier technical issues.
* Must have a minimum of 9 years of experience with hardware and line replaceable unit (LRU) development, testing, and qualification.
* Must be a U.S. citizen. Preferred Skills
* You will have 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* You will have experience with advanced cockpit display systems, including Heads-Up Displays (HUD), Up Front Control Displays (UFCD), and Large Area Displays (LAD).
* You will have previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
* You will have experience with both commercial and military avionics systems.
* You will have experience collaborating with suppliers and managing supply chain performance.
* You will have experience in proposal development and technical documentation. Job Duties / Functions
* You will be developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.

* You will be leading work with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements on complex projects.

* You will be analyzing and translating complex system requirements into architecture, hardware, and software design, and interface specifications.
* You will be leading testing and validation activities to ensure that operational and functional requirements are met.
* You will be managing supplier performance to ensure successful system integration and requirement adherence.
* You will be assigning responsibilities to team members while maintaining technical correctness and consistency of all deliverables.
* You will be leading research into new technologies to identify potential applications that enhance performance and support future business needs.
* You will be promoting a strong safety culture and ethical work environment with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and mission success.
