PURPOSEYou will be part of the highly talented individuals team responsible for bringing the Air Transport Industry data to the next level. Your day by day will include working with Data Pipelines, extracting and digging into different Datasets coming from Airports, Airplanes, and Ground Handlers, to understand it and get insights that then we will use to train ML Models so we can make this industry more reliable and easier to operate. We at SITA are the biggest Tech Service provider worldwide for the Air Transport Industry. We have tons of data and now we want to make use of it to make our customersβ lives easier!
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join the Central Data Platform Team and design, develop, and maintain reference data patterns, templates, and frameworks on the centrally managed Databricks platform. Youβll support portfolio teams by enabling governance-aligned data engineering practices, ensuring data is produced in a consistent, secure, and scalable way without owning team data products or pipelines.
This position requires an office presence of 3 days a week on our offices near to Madrid Airport or in Barcelona city Centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with data architects, scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders across the Air Transport Industry to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Explore and apply modern technologies (e.g., Databricks, AzureML, LLMs) to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases (use-case driven).
