Spirit AeroSystems focuses on affordable, innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions to support customers around the globe.


Responsibilities

As an Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, you can expect to:

  • Work in a diverse and inclusive environment and become an integral part of our Operations Engineering team

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan.
  • Ensures the identification and implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes in support of the type design.
  • Uses process engineering principles and techniques. Develops, establishes, and guides requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
  • Performs trade and cost studies and assists in leading integrated product and process teams.
  • Ability to apply knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Composite non-metallic, Machining, Sheet metal, Systems and Structures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • You must be enrolled full time in a university degree program aligned to the area of Co-op.
  • You must be a current junior, senior or graduate student in good standing academic standing.
