Role Introduction
Reports To:Simulator Engineering Team Leader
This role is part of a professional team in our Flight Operations Department, which consists of flight crew and ground staff teams, both working to ensure the highest standards of operational efficiency and service. Safety is intrinsic to everything we do.
As a Simulator Junior Engineer, you will be responsible forSimulator maintenance, Defect prevention, rectification and ensuring the devices are ready for training at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- To carry out maintenance, defect prevention, rectification and ensure the devices are ready for training at all times
- To answer calls from simulator users and take action to resolve problems encountered
- To perform preflight, routine checks, conversion, other session changeover and preparation tasks
- To work on Job Cards as assigned
- To provide assistance during troubleshooting and fault rectification, and to carry out workshop repairs as required
- To install updated navigation databases on FMS installed in various training equipment
- To perform visual projector change, alignment, and other visual maintenance task, scheduled QTG test runs as required and together with the engineer validate the results and fix any that do not meet the criteria
- To perform computer backups as required and take care of workshop tools and equipment
- To attend training conducted internally to learn methods and practices associated with the above duties
- Prepare for advancement to simulator engineer after a minimum of 3 years upon satisfactory performance reviews and peer appraisal
Requirements
Knowledge
- University Degree (in a technical field) or Higher Diploma with relevant experience
- Good command of written and spoken English, able to communicate internally and externally at different organizational levels
- Have experience interpreting Maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams and/or component manuals

Experience
- A Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a technician in Aviation, Electronics, or IT-related industries will be an advantage
