Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $74.43-$79.43/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Provide advanced network engineering support for satellite ground system operations.
Design and implement high-speed enterprise network topologies, including Juniper Firewalls, Arista Switches, Linux IDM, and Windows Servers for DNS and account management.
Manage, maintain, and document network architecture and system operations.
Support multicast communications and configure routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
Perform network vulnerability scanning, implement security hardening measures, and resolve findings to maintain compliance.
Work with VMware vSphere environments and virtual machines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and scalable network performance in support of ground-based satellite systems.
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized field, or equivalent experience (4 additional years of job-related experience).
8+ years of relevant job experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
Experience designing and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructures.
Familiarity with Red Hat Linux and systems utilizing NAS/SAN storage.
Skilled in writing technical documentation for systems and networks.
Experience with network security best practices, including vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
