Summary:

• Remove Seats, Divans, Crew Seats, Crew Rest Areas – Pattern and Sew leather and subsequent materials for the refurbishment of upholstery components
• Familiarity with materials specific to the aviation interior and upholstery industry and processes of a 145 repair station.
• Experience in design to finish of seats and sewing of leather goods to completions
• Experience in shaping of foam and soft good components
• Strong working history with materials and the custom design and duplication of patterning seats, side panels, crew rest areas, headliners and other components of an aircraft.
• Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interior components including galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels.
• Coordinate with supervision and inspection teams to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Repair Station procedures, and internal paperwork.
• Use the material tracking system to initiate parts requests, document squawks, and sign off completed tasks.
• Follow standard operating procedures while using hand tools, saws, shears, sanders, brakes, and other shop equipment.
• Prepare and install interior components to company standards and procedures.
• Remove and reinstall hardware such as nut plates, inserts, and fasteners as required.
• Comply with all safety protocols, including 5S and housekeeping practices; use PPE as required and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Support aircraft maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Adapt to sudden changes in schedules or priorities.
• Create and use basic templates and patterns for interior work following standard procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of installation, fabrication, or related experience; aerospace industry
• Ability to use a walking foot sewing machine and serger for carpets and leather materials.
• Proficient in patterning for seats, side panels, and use of cutting/measuring tools.
• Proficient with hand and power tools used for aircraft interior work
• Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any assigned shift
• Computer literate
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak, understand)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)

Work Environment

The team currently consists of 4 mechanics and is growing. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with an 8 AM or 9 AM start time, and 8-hour workdays. Weekends are as demanded for overflow or AOG – Overtime opportunities available

Callsign provides maintenance for general and business aviation in the Chattanooga, Knoxville and Tri-State regions. Our focus is on Twin Cessnas, King Airs, Bonanza/Barron products and other mid class aircraft.
