We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for: Machine Operation:
Set up and operate various types of machinery, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency. Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
Report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors. Safety:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production quantities.
Complete any paperwork or digital entries related to job tasks. Collaboration:
Work closely with other machinists, engineers, and production staff to ensure a smooth workflow and address any issues that arise.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions as needed.
Willingness and initiative to continue learning different machines and machining methods.
Ability to pass a background and drug test.
Ability to abide by Environmental Health & Safety standards, which include extremely limited cell phone use during work hours (excluding lunch and breaks).
Qualifications
Qualifications Qualifications
Basic understanding of machining tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings.
Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges.
Basic math skills, including algebra and geometry.
Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software can be beneficial.
The ability to switch priorities when needed.
Education:
Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is a plus but not always required for entry-level positions.
Hands on experience through internships or vocational training programs.
Automobile mechanical experience is a plus. Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed, up to 70 lbs.
