As a Scheduling Principal Specialist in Louisville, KY, the successful candidate will perform a variety of technical and business tasks to support factory operations. This individual will complete demand planning and production control activities in a Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system to ensure alignment between material position and production schedule, which are necessary to prevent work stoppage or a schedule impact.
What You Will Do
Prepare and release production orders in MRP system based on master production schedule and material availability ensure a controlled flow of materials to meet customer requirements.
Provide production floor support, including factory production interrupts, replacement part management, shortage tracking, and maintaining integrity of MRP and inventory systems.
Proactively manage and take corrective action to resolve material challenges impacting production and ability to achieve performance targets.
Support factory operations through daily Tier meetings and bi-weekly Line-of-Balance (LOB) meetings.
This role will work closely with the factory operations, inventory, and supply chain to ensure program execution.
This will be an onsite role in Louisville, KY.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience.
5+ years of experience with Production Planning, Scheduling, Production Control, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Project Management, or a related field.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with SAP.
Experience with Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
Experience with Government Contracting, Aerospace & Defense, and/or depot-type processes.
Experience with continuous improvement and/or lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), including formulas and pivot tables in Excel.

- Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
