Responsibilities
- The Supply Technician are responsible for interacting with customers, resolve issues, and answer questions concerning the warehouse.
- Supply Technician will perform all aspects of technical supply management work to depot, local, or other supply activities.
- The supply technician is responsible for documenting shipment details, double-checking the delivery information on packages and shipping documents to ensure that health and safety laws are followed in the warehouse.
- This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
- Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.
- The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.
- This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require:
- A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Receives, handles, stores, and issues Hazardous Material per safety guidelines.
- Deploys knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
- Submits, Monitors, Research and Resolve Supply Discrepancy with materials that do not meet DLA Shelf-Life requirements, Mis-shipments, etc.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of recent supply experience gained either in military or commercial application.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good verbal and writing skills.
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Ability to pass a Pulmonary Function Test for use of Respirator
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
