Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to be the primary mechanic for a pilot school hangar. The role involves performing preventative maintenance on a fleet of 7-10 aircraft, including Cessna 172 and Piper Seneca models. The mechanic will also conduct post-flight checks to identify any maintenance needs and manage the necessary documentation for the aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on 7-10 aircraft, including Cessna 172 and Piper Seneca models.
• Conduct thorough checks after successful flights to identify any potential maintenance issues.
• Prepare and manage all necessary paperwork for the aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft as needed.
• Order parts and manage inventory for engine and other components.
• Ensure compliance with all aviation maintenance regulations and standards.

Essential Skills

• Experience with aircraft maintenance and repair.
• Proficient in working with Cessna and Piper aircraft.
• Strong troubleshooting and inspection skills.
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation.
• Experience with ordering parts and engine maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Avionics experience is preferred.

Work Environment

You will be working in a small, close-knit team of 13 people at a facility located at the Springbank Airport. The work environment is a small shop where you will primarily manage operations independently. The position offers a day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
