Hiring Diesel Mechanic / Ground Support Equipment Technician
Location: Denver International Airport (DEN)
Shifts Available:
- Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday
- 1st Shift:6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift:2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 3rd Shift:10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- ** Note: Must be available to work holidays
- Pay Range:$31–$35/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experiencedDiesel Mechanic / Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technicianto join our team at Denver International Airport. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel engines and a variety of ground support equipment. Your work will play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and GSE.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:- Solid understanding of diesel engines and ground support equipment.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment (must provide own tools).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in diesel mechanics or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a diesel or GSE mechanic.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment as needed.
Work Environment:
This position requires you to be able to work part of each day in the Colorado elements, with approximately 30 of your time spent outdoors.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00/hr.
