Job Title: NDT Technician
Job DescriptionThe NDT Technician is responsible for performing inspections on aircraft components by adhering to the Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICAs), and company policies and procedures. This role requires a meticulous approach to ensuring quality and compliance with customer instructions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct production activities in accordance with the Quality System Manual (QSM) and component maintenance manuals.
- Document tasks completed and update the status of work.
- Review documentation to confirm the work scope and condition of the component.
- Complete all work according to the defined work scope.
- Disassemble components if not yet completed and if required.
- Identify and document damaged or worn parts.
- Prepare parts for cleaning and stripping if required.
- Clean, dry, and strip parts using correct materials and processes.
- Validate serviceability of sub-assemblies.
- Rework parts as necessary.
- Inspect or arrange for inspection of unserviceable parts and components within the approved scope.
- Request replacement component parts.
- Document non-destructive testing results.
- Interpret or evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
- Prepare reports on non-destructive testing (NDT) results.
- Apply corrosion inhibitors as required.
- Send components to the next station as required.
Essential Skills- Nondestructive testing (NDT) inspection skills.
- Eddy Current Level 2 expertise.
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level 2 proficiency.
- Quality control and testing capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Certification within the scope of authority.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate test results according to standards.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of scheduled shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with two 15-minute breaks per day. Located at Winnipeg airport, the shop environment is open and subject to noise, temperature fluctuations, and odors from paint, grease, and other chemicals. Employees will be required to work on their feet for long periods and may experience extended periods of working in the dark. This fast-paced environment may require overtime during busy seasons, and employees will work both independently and as part of a team.
