Role Introduction
Report To: Assistant Manager Cargo Revenue - Route
As part of our dedicated Cargo Service Delivery team, you will be acting as a key member of the Cargo Revenue Management team. This job holder enhances inventory efficiency, through active capacity forecasting and booking profile management, while maximizing cargo revenue generation from our freighter and passenger operations towards healthy financial contribution to the Cathay Group
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the inventory management strategy of the assigned routes to maximize revenue efficiency
- Evaluate the rolling 3-months capacity plan and recommend optimal capacity plan for cargo carriage, including ad hoc aircraft switch, reroute and extra-sector operations
- Collaborate with reservation and operations team to smooth revenue delivery and improve revenue quality
- Manage overbooking level in accordance to the latest trend of booking cancellation & no shows, demand pick up, passenger and luggage changes etc
- Balance spill and spoil by reviewing hurdle rate and space availability setting in relation to expected demand against capacity supply
- Master system and data usage and implement insight-led revenue management
- Improve system performance through calibrating parameters and history adjustment
- Conduct periodic measures to track success/failure and suggest improvement actions
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in an analytical discipline, such as Business, Science and Engineering. Candidate with post-secondary qualification together with strong and relevant experience may also be considered
- Fresh graduate will be considered. Prior exposure with Lean would be an advantage
- Basic skill in data visualization and BI tools, e.g. Alteryx, QlikSense, QlikView, PowerPoint, Excel etc.
- Natural ability as strategies implementer – act as the bridge between commercial & technical and sales & operations; equipped with good communication & presentation skills
- Proven success in solution development – conduct root cause analysis; influence other stakeholders to implement swift and effective solution
- Comfortable with numbers and, more importantly, curious to understand stories behind numbers and able to drive behavioural improvement through numbers
