Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Digital, Procurement, Finance & GBS

The purpose of this role is to drive enterprise-wide adoption of Agentic AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies, enabling Cathay with a strong technological foundation to harness and scale the latest AI capabilities across business units. This role will also lead the regional digital transformation program, empowering the regional business units with new technologies to achieve operational excellence while inspiring and fostering an innovation culture.
Key Responsibilities
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Define the long-term vision and roadmap for Cathay’s enterprise RAG framework as Product Owner.
- Collaborate with IT to expand the core capabilities.
- Assess and prioritize new features based on defined criteria and collect feedback from key stakeholders to improve the offerings.
- Oversee and monitor the overall RAG platform’s business benefits, performance, licenses and AI usage.
- Research and monitor industry trends to keep Cathay’s RAG framework cutting-edge.
Agentic AI
- Collaborate with the IT teams to design and launch a sustainable Agentic AI framework that can orchestrate domain-specific agents across Cathay as the product Owner
- Deliver Agentic AI use cases across Cathay to create tangible business values and impact
- Establish the governance model and best practices for adopting Agentic AI, including performance monitoring and evaluation tools.
Regional Digital Transformation
- Lead the rollout of Cathay’s regional digital transformation program and operating model to ensure alignment with the overall digital leadership vision and strategy.
- Serve as a trusted Business Partner to the regional teams, developing the digital leadership roadmaps and supporting the prioritized initiatives for each region
- Advise Regional Digital & IT Leads on prioritization, strategy execution, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
- Conduct digital workshops with regions to identify opportunities to leverage new and existing digital technology to achieve operational excellence and increase productivity and efficiency. Share best practices to help regional teams to adopt a lean and agile mindset for digital transformation in day-to-day operations.
- Foster collaboration between regional teams and headquarters DGT & IT teams to ensure successful delivery of digital initiatives
Evangelism & Stakeholder Engagement
- Champion the adoption of RAG, Agentic AI, and other automation technologies through workshops, training, and other advocacy activities.
- Manage relationships with technology partners, SI providers, and internal teams to align priorities and accelerate innovation.
- Lead a team of digital analysts to manage the initiatives pipeline, translate business requirements into technical stories and collaborate with IT teams on delivery.
- Coordinate periodic Digital Leadership Reviews with key stakeholders to share progress, digital trends and new opportunities.
- Support the Head of Digital to foster an innovation culture across Cathay
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics or related discipline with strong business acumen.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Digital or IT, preferably in areas of Agentic AI, RAG, RPA, IDP and other automation technologies
- Domain knowledge of Aviation is desirable and an advantage
- PMP background, Lean Six Sigma certification, and Scrum/Agile knowledge is a plus
- Must have worked on different AI or automation tools, for example: UiPath, Blue prism, automation anywhere and others
- Proven experience in leading digital initiatives, conducting workshops and delivering projects, with a solid understanding of the existing digital landscape, Lean and Cathay Agile within Cathay
- A great team player and change agent with ability to inspire, build trust and promote collaboration among stakeholders across IT, Digital and business units in Regions and CFO Teams.
- Proactive, fast learning, independent, and passion for digital excellence.
- Record of strong stakeholder management and internal advocacy
- Take ownership, resourceful and decisive with excellent influencing, interpersonal, and time management skills.
