Seeking a talented Senior Architect Lead with extensive experience in software engineering, specializing in AWS architecture and leading modernization efforts across large enterprises. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, having worked in highly complex environments to scale solutions, and bring those to this dynamic team. As a key member in cloud architecture and infrastructure, you will utilize your foundational software engineer knowledge, and deep design expertise to collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyze unique business domains, design scalable and maintainable software solutions, and implement DDD patterns to ensure alignment between the software components and the business domain.

You’ll work alongside senior architects and engineers to apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and AWS best practices in building scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Design cloud-native applications using AWS services, and assist in design with other team members and initiatives
Support the implementation of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, including domain modeling and bounded context identification.
Document technical designs, processes, and configurations for knowledge sharing and operational readiness. Participate in discussions around modernizing legacy systems and integrating new technologies.
Assist document requirements, processes, and technical designs.
Attend stakeholder meetings to gather information and understand business needs.
Contribute to process mapping and technical documentation efforts

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelors degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in IT or software, product or platform development
Familiarity with AWS services and cloud architecture fundamentals.
Exposure to Domain-Driven Design or similar software design methodologies.
Basic understanding of networking, security, and IAM in AWS.
Understanding of the intersection of research, development, and IT; utilizing knowledge across business lines to implement solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

Advanced degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Hands-on experience with AWS, AWS Certificate highly preferred
Interest in the airline industry and its technology landscape, bringing diverse experiences and applying those experiences in a new environment
