General Summary
Manages the efficient coordination of all interior refurbishment and repair activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for the overall performance, safety, and productivity of the interior teams, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with all regulations.
 
  • Essential Job Functions
    Leads and manages the Install, Seat Shop, and Soft Goods teams, effectively managing all production activities on the shop floor to deliver customer aircraft on schedule and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develops a high-performance team culture, mentoring employees and fostering a productive, professional work environment.
  • Manages the scheduling of all assigned work orders, coordinating the proper application of staffing for each job to satisfy scheduling requirements.
  • Maintains accurate manpower forecasts and calendars to effectively allocate resources and personnel.
  • Ensures all assigned tasks are completed, inspected, and documented in accordance with the repair station manual, company policy, and FAA regulations.
  • Leads by example, providing employees with clear direction, troubleshooting assistance, and administrative support as needed.
  • Participates in cross-departmental meetings to coordinate project activities, ensuring smooth workflows and project completion.
  • Assigns tasks to team leaders and technicians and performs advance planning to ensure team members have the necessary tooling and materials to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
  • Monitors daily work-in-progress, reviewing employee time cards for accuracy to ensure that labor and materials are applied to each work order properly.
  • Participates in the performance review process for all assigned team members.
  • Promptly reports any airworthy situations or compliance concerns to the Chief Inspector.
  • Responds to interior "call-outs" as needed.
  • Assists in creating and improving approved process specifications for all interior tasks to standardize quality and maximize efficiency.
  • Maintains a skills matrix and coordinates training to support team development.
  • Leads quality reviews and First Article Inspection processes.
  • Manages the vendor process for plating and other outsourced services, including collecting quotes and submitting orders.
  • Ensures goal times are assigned to every discrepancy and manages the time to assure expectations are met by the technicians.
  • Leads shop meetings as needed to keep the team informed.
  • Maintains a clean, neat, safe, and professional working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Job Specific Requirements
    Minimum of five years of experience working with aircraft interiors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve effectively.
  • Physical Demands
    Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to reach, grasp, or pull and lift objects up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs may be required.
  • Willingness to work overtime hours as an essential function of the role to meet business and customer needs.
  • Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and loud noises may occur.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A bachelors degree in a related field or formal leadership training is a plus.
Pay Scale: The salary range for this position is $67,000 to $125,000. The final compensation package will be based on a number of factors, including relevant experience, qualifications, and the outcome of the standard screening process.
Relocation: This position offers a relocation bonus and that is determined by HR who uses family status and distance from jobsite to determine the amount.
