OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Job Description:

HQ Aero is currently recruiting for OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR in BRIDGEPORT, WV

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and management of the 3PL project in association with the logistics team, while following all applicable company and U.S Government regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be required to:

Provide leadership and management of the 3PL project in association with PWES logistics team while following all applicable company and U.S. Government regulations, policies, and procedures
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 3PL project including inventory management, training programs, shipping, and handling of PWES materials
Monitor priorities of engines and engine part shipments as provided on the Delivery Note
Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance
Must be fully engaged in supporting all company initiatives to achieve the highest standard of work performed
Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized and can multi-task well • Must be able to work as a part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Work overtime when necessary to meet customer needs
Coordinate and supervise the on-site and supplier’s off-site warehouse activities to meet PWES’ requirements
Establish work schedules for supplier personnel, matching PWES’ operational needs
Ensure that the schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly
Maintain the security and safety of the supplier’s off-site warehouse.
Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area
Manage the training of employees and their training records
Ensure cross-training of employees to ensure business continuity and efficiency for PWES
Coordinate improvement exercises when deficiencies occur in supplier’s off-site warehouse processes
Participate in the operations of the supplier’s off-site warehouse to achieve prescribed objectives
Assist in completing all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion
Oversee the inventory management process to ensure the integrity of the inventory
Participate in PWES’ meetings, as requested, to support PWES’ logistics needs

Qualifications, Experience & Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, distribution, warehouse management or inventory control preferred.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English required.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
ERP system experience with inventory management experience
SAP experience preferred
3-5 years of direct experience in shipping/receiving and/or inventory/warehouse management preferred
Previous supervisory experience is required
Strong supervisory skills, strong analytical, problem solving, communication and management skills; with a focus on team orientation and collaboration skills

Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Position requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
