Boeing Digital TechOps is looking for an experienced Senior User Experience Developer to join our growing UX design organization in Seattle WA. Our team works on products across all areas of aviation. A successful candidate will have the design thinking and front-end developer skills to uncover user needs and turn them into elegant and usable solutions. You are an experienced, UX-focused front-end UI coder with an understanding of the design-thinking process and a keen eye for user-centered design.
As a proven collaborator, you work well within the UX Team and the product team to assist in feature designs and development for web and mobile products.
Using modern front-end libraries, for web and mobile, you create and maintain clean and efficient coded prototypes, reusable UI components, and help generate UI requirements using software development best-practices.
You have experience working in various types of product development environments such as Agile and Lean, and know the strategies and practices necessary for organizing and developing responsive web and mobile product solutions.
You have strong experience and knowledge working with and maintaining design systems.

Position Responsibilities:
Act as an ambassador between design and development, using the appropriate communication language
Build coded front-end UI prototypes using current design standards
Work with product owner to create UI requirements based on business, technical and user needs.
Help determine technical feasibility of initial designs
Participate in user testing sessions
Work with development team to ensure UI components are reusable, and assist in visual testing efforts to ensure designs maintain their original layout and function
As part of the design team you support and contribute to UX design standards
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Minimum 5 years of responsive front-end design and development experience
- Experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and other modern languages and frameworks
- Experience in Google’s Material Design guidelines and best practices for web applications
- Understand Apple’s design guidelines and best practices for iOS and iPadOS
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience developing modern, front-end UIs for web applications
- Develop coded prototypes for usability testing
- Strategic design thinker
- Effective time-management skills
- Strong technical and design communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in a related field
