As Vice President Mergers and Acquisitions - dnata, you will work in conjunction with dnata executive management to define, on a case-by-case basis, the best approach to expand globally through Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions, and disposals. You will contribute to future success through a coordinated handover to the team responsible for integrating these businesses into One dnata, in line with the dnata way and the business case in each spanet, before final handover to Business management.
In this role, you will:
• Work closely with the CEO dnata, DSVPs, and DVP Strategy and Performance to develop the business strategy and identify targets that enhance the long-term financial performance and cash generation of each business, or dispose of businesses in line with optimising the One dnata business portfolio. Administer the dnata Investment Committee and M&A Steering Group.
• Be accountable for developing the business case and gaining the necessary approvals, supported by the VP Finance Mergers and Acquisitions, DVP Finance, and Group Legal.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant external stakeholders to ensure dnata is the primary organisation in customers’, and potential customers’, points of contact.
• Ensure each expansion is supported by an adequately resourced plan to deliver successful outcomes.
• Lead all negotiations on behalf of dnata, representing the company’s interests in all matters involving operations, clients, authorities, and legal aspects.
• Review and localise One dnata governance aspects in compliance with local legislation and regulations.
• Be accountable for effective due diligence and resulting action plans, in line with the dnata way and supported by the relevant subject matter experts.
QualificationTo be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, with 12–14 years of experience in an air and travel services handling organisation, including at least 6 years in a managerial role.
• Strong business acumen with outstanding knowledge of all aspects of air and travel services, and the ability to oversee each company’s business
• Excellent M&A capability, with advanced budget and cost control knowledge.
• Outstanding management, communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
• High level of IT proficiency and computer literacy.
• Strong safety awareness and customer relationship management capability.
