Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards. You will run diagnostics on vehicles and collaborate closely with other team members to meet company goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and buses.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes.
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop.
• Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs.
• Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks.
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience working as a Mechanic.
• Experience with diagnostic and repair of engines.
• Experience with cooling and analog systems.
• Diesel Mechanic or auto mechanic experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CDL License is a plus (not required).
• Experience working with Cooling and Analog systems.
• Cummins Engine experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain SIDA Badge for the Airport.

Work Environment

Work in an indoor mechanic shop where it can get cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The culture is laid back, with everyone supporting each other. You will work alongside lead mechanics. The dress code includes steel-toed boots and company-provided uniforms. Shift flexibility is required, with options across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jamaica, NY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Jamaica,NY.
