Job Title: Egress TechnicianJob Description
The Egress Technician performs operational and functional tests of egress systems, subsystems, and components using specialized test equipment. A critical aspect of the role is ensuring that egress explosive Cartridge Activated Devices (CAD) and Pressure Activated Devices (PAD) are safe and disarmed prior to maintenance work. Additionally, the technician performs integrity inspections of escape systems and ensures the safety, security, and serviceability of egress systems, subsystems, and components.
Responsibilities
- Conduct operational and functional tests of egress systems, subsystems, and components.
- Ensure CAD and PAD devices are safe and disarmed prior to maintenance.
- Perform integrity inspections of escape systems.
- Inspect egress systems for safety, security, and serviceability.
- Determine serviceability of CAD and PAD devices based on shelf and service life limits.
- Apply corrosion control procedures to escape systems and related components.
- Operate and maintain related support equipment.
- Advise on and solve installation, maintenance, and repair issues by studying schematics and technical publications.
- Diagnose malfunctions and recommend corrective action.
- Implement maintenance and safety policies for egress systems.
- Use automated maintenance systems to monitor trends, analyze equipment requirements, and maintain records.
- Dispose of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards.
- Perform maintenance on aircraft, including avionics, mechanical systems, and/or ground support equipment if required.
- May include Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties.
- Document maintenance activities as per Quality Assurance (QA) and regulatory requirements.
- Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks.
- Maintain strict tool control procedures and report any discrepancies.
- Comply with safety rules and promptly report any accidents or unsafe practices.
- Maintain equipment records and verify satisfactory completion of work.
- Perform other related duties as required to meet organizational needs.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience with egress systems or Northrop Grumman ejection seat experience.

Work Environment
Work takes place in an aircraft hangar. The position follows a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 06:30 AM to 03:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.21 - $47.09/hr.
