Boeing Qatar is seeking a F15 Technical Support Specialist Lead to support F-15QA training efforts. This position is located at Al Udeid Air Base Qatar. A Successful candidate will oversee activities and install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components with the ability to plan, develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications. Evaluates complex systems production readiness and supportability. Information Technology Lead will report to Training and Ops Maintenance Site Senior Manager.
Consults and integrates activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components.
Consults, integrates and coordinates activities for highly complex release planning for software and hardware across the system.
Analyzes computing requirements and consults on change release process. Leads a multidiscipline range of complex technical systems and application activities.
Lead multi-faceted IT projects across different locations and programs to support end user mission and objectives.
Oversee and manage a cross-functional IT team that is responsible for the up-keep and service ability of over 700+ unique products/services and growing.
Evaluates complex systems production readiness and supportability.
Manage multiple software applications and computer systems, networks, security measures, and general IT infrastructure.
Consult with management on complex system problem identification and resolution.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Ability to translate business requirements into written functional specifications.
Possess superb problem-solving skills; ability to help diagnose multiple issues and follow standard IT common practices.
Knowledgeable of up-to-date IT software capabilities.
Experience working with FMS contracts: working within geo-diverse and cross-functional teams.
Experience working multiple high-priority issues: Ability to handle several work tasks at once.
Requires frequent work outside of local business hours to collaborate with teams across the global organization.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Have experience in Database/Configuration Management, System/Network experience, asset resource management, and building effective codes that can govern the design and maintenance of IT and information systems.
Experience leading a team with diverse disciplines within IT including System Administration, Network Administration, Data base Administration and Network Design.
Bachelor’s Degree in (or foreign equivalent) in Technology or Computer Engineering, Computing Science, Cybersecurity, or general IT is preferred, but not required.
Knowledgeable on cost benefit analysis and working within a pre-established IT budget for equipment/services.
Have a proactive nature; the ability to identify issues before they happen and establish plans to resolve/mitigate issues to keep our people safe and the mission effective.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
