Job Description

This position involves operating computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines such as milling machines, lathes, turning centers, and horizontal mills. The role is crucial for constructing both structural and non-structural parts used in aircraft interiors, including floor fittings, aluminum trims, countertops, and other various parts. This role spans across Levels 1, 2, 3, and Lead.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
• Document materials and processes to maintain product traceability.
• Safely operate CNC machines, which includes loading programs, cutting raw stock, securing materials, and ensuring proper program performance.
• Square materials prior to running programs if necessary.
• Provide feedback on program and tooling performance to supervisors and programmers.
• Verify parts accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and other metrology equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the machine area.
• Properly maintain coolant, including removal of contaminants and ensuring correct dilution ratios.
• Handle raw material and manufactured parts carefully to ensure quality.
• Protect and maintain confidentiality of all company products.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in the field.
• Basic operation of CNC machines and understanding of G and M code preferred, or the ability to learn is mandatory.
• Ability to read and write English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
• Ability to self-inspect work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Understanding of utilizing work orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Requires little to no experience in discipline.
• Conduct routine tasks as directed with little latitude for independent judgment.
• Must meet or exceed current training requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
