Purpose: We are seeking a talent acquisition professional excited to be part of a growing, innovative team. Avelo Airlines launched its first flight in April 2021 and has not stopped growing since! You will be a key player in selecting the future crewmembers who will bring to life Avelo’s purpose of inspiring travel. The Talent Recruiter collaborates with managers across the company to fully understand talent needs and create a strategy to attract, recruit and hire the right individual for each available position. Your outcomes and responsibilities include the breadth and depth of full cycle recruitment: position creation, sourcing, evaluating pre-employment assessments, phone screens/interviews, selection, job offers, and initial onboarding. In this role, you care deeply about developing authentic partnerships with leaders to understand their teams and talent needs. Your influence and decision-making is critical to shaping Avelo’s future one crewmember at a time.
- Full cycle recruitment: position creation, sourcing, evaluating pre-employment assessments, phone screens/interviews, selection, job offers, and initial onboarding.
- Care deeply about developing authentic partnerships with leaders to understand their teams and talent needs.
- Guide decision-making to shape Avelo’s future talent with a One Crew mentality.
- Develop position-specific recruiting strategies in collaboration with hiring managers and team leaders.
- Give every candidate a great experience, aligned with Avelos mission, values, and brand.
- Communicate closely with hiring managers on active searches; set up interviews, gather feedback, provide insights, etc.
- Coach and influence hiring managers to help them select candidates with the best skillset, experience, and culture fit.
- Assess and provide feedback on pre-employment assessments to continuously make these more predictive of success.
- Utilize a variety of sourcing strategies and help build sourcing partnerships.
- Represent Avelo by attending hiring events/job fairs at universities and Networking organizations.
- Track key metrics to help measure and predict outcomes.
- Share new ideas and best practices.

Requirements
- Must possess 1-3 years of full cycle recruitment experience.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws/regulation related to hiring and recruitment.
- Track record of success in setting and achieving ambitious goals.
- Passion to be part of a fast-paced, high-growth company.
- Must be a collaborative, team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technical developments)
