Skilled Painter
Filton, Bristol
12 month ongoing contract
Core night shift
Working pattern:
Core Days 4 Day Week working Monday to Thursday - 21:15 to 06:30am
Hourly rate: (first 12 weeks of training will be core days at 19.40 per hour PAYE)
Night Shift 25.80 PAYE with all overtime in the week 30.65 and weekends 35.50 Rising to 26.85 with stamp and overtime with Stamp 31.90 and 36.95.
Profile
To operate as a multi-skilled, flexible worker to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency. Tasks will be undertaken and worked through the use of Spraying, paint touch up and cleaning requiring the use of :
• Power tooling
• Solvents and primer paints are required
Key Deliverables
• Ensure parts are produced on a ‘right first time’ basis
• Ensure that any calibrated equipment used is within date
• Responsible for the timely clearance of work phases using the SAP system
• Responsible for highlighting any non-conformance to the Process Team Leader
• Adhering to the requirements of the Quality Procedures
• Accountable for Health & Safety requirements under Section 7 of the HASAWA 1974
• To hold first party inspection approval (M02 status is subject to obtaining A stamp approval)
• Responsible for general housekeeping within the area
Key Skills
A recognised paint spraying indentured apprenticeship and ideally have previous manufacturing experience in a factory environment.
• Ability to work to standard operating procedures
• Must be able to work in small teams with Process Team Leaders
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and techniques to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Self-motivated team player with good communication skills
